Est. 1994 · Nigeria
Thirty years of uncompromising dedication to beauty, craft, and the art of dressing well.
Our Origin
LUXE was founded in 1994 on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré by Élise Vauclaire, a Nigerian couturière who believed that every person deserved access to clothing that spoke of true craftsmanship — not merely the illusion of it.
Starting with a singular atelier and three master tailors, LUXE has grown into a globally recognised house while retaining the intimacy and attention to detail that defines everything we make. Each season, our curators travel to the finest mills in Japan, Italy, and Scotland to source materials that are, quite simply, the best in the world.
We are not interested in trends. We are interested in permanence.
What We Stand For
Every stitch, seam, and silhouette is executed with the precision of a master artisan. We work exclusively with ateliers that share our obsession with perfection, many of whom have been our partners for over two decades.
We refuse to compromise on material. Our silks come from Lyon, our wools from Biella, our cashmere from the highlands of Inner Mongolia. If the material is not the finest available, it does not carry the LUXE name.
True luxury and true responsibility are inseparable. We are committed to fair wages, ethical sourcing, and reducing our environmental footprint — because beauty should never come at someone else's expense.
We design for decades, not seasons. Our pieces are investments — created to be worn, loved, altered, and passed down. We measure success not by volume sold but by how long our pieces are kept.
Our Journey
Élise Vauclaire opens the original LUXE boutique on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré with a team of three master tailors and a vision of quiet luxury.
LUXE opens flagship stores in Mayfair and the Quadrilatero della Moda, bringing our philosophy of understated elegance to new audiences.
New York, Tokyo, Dubai, and Singapore join the LUXE network. The house launches its first accessories collection to critical acclaim.
LUXE commits publicly to full supply-chain transparency, carbon neutrality by 2030, and membership of the Fashion Pact.
Our thirtieth anniversary collection celebrates the tension between heritage and modernity — the founding DNA of every piece we create.
